Outstanding Aerodynamics
For the first time on any Jaguar, the new XF’s body was designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). Every aspect, from exterior surface to engine cooling to exterior mirror shape, was optimized. As a result, the car’s rear is higher and more efficient, and the coupe-like roofline and shaped trunk promote airflow over the back. Drag coefficient has been reduced to 0.29, and lift balance front-to-rear is zero. These improved aerodynamics reduce wind noise, and aid high-speed stability by balancing drag and lift forces.
JaguarVoice™, Jaguar’s oral command system, allows many XF control functions to be initiated simply by asking—without looking away from the road. Press the voice button on the steering wheel, and voice recognition takes over, allowing the driver to direct navigation, change Touch-screen displays or place phone calls. And JaguarSense™, an industry first, is a proximity control that opens the glovebox and activates console lights.
