2010 Lincoln Navigator Review

Overview

The 2010 Lincoln Navigator is a rear- or four-wheel drive SUV available in Navigator and Navigator L models. Navigator L is the longer-wheelbase model that accompanies the regular length Navigator. The Navigator gains some important features for 2010. The standard Trailer Sway Control joins AdvanceTrac with RSC (Roll Stability Control) delivers improved confidence while towing. The SYNC and SIRIUS Travel Link help the 2010 Navigator owners stay connected using voice-activated technologies and with the standard MyKey is useful for them to limit top speed, radio volume even when they're not in the vehicle.

Power and performance

Under the hood is a 5.4L 3-Valve flex fuel V8 engine that pumps out 300-horsepower at 5,100 rpm and 365 lb-ft. of torque at 3,600 rpm. The engine is matched to a six-speed automatic transmission with overdrive lockout. The buyers of Navigator and Navigator L can choose from rear-wheel drive or four-wheel drive systems. The Navigator can tow up to 9,200 pounds when properly equipped.

Standard and available 2010 Lincoln Navigator technology features include AM/FM single CD/MP3 player with audio input jack, premium AM/FM in-dash, six-CD/MP3 player with subwoofer and audio input jack, SYNC voice-activated communications and entertainment system, voice-activated navigation system with SIRIUS Travel Link, rear-seat DVD system, illuminated Entry with Approach Lamps, Perimeter Alarm. More than just hands-free calling, SYNC brings 911 Assist, Vehicle Health Reports, and Traffic, Directions & Information services to the Navigator, all with a pre-paid three-year subscription included for the original vehicle owner (SYNC: Traffic, Directions & Information not available with the optional navigation system).
